On November 18, 2021, the 4th ""Shanghai Foreign Language Education Press Cup" Yangtze River Delta Regional College Students Cross-cultural Competence Competition and National Invitational Competition (Jiangsu Province) will be held in Huadong Hotel. Sixty-seven teams from 60 colleges and universities in the province participated in the contest through video submission. Ms Yan Shuhong and MS Zhou Shan, from the Basic Courses Department of our school, guided three students to shoot the competition video and won the third prize in the higher vocational group in the competition. Our school is the only one of the participating private higher vocational colleges that won the prize.

Since its launch in 2018, the "Shanghai Foreign Language Education Press Cup" Yangtze River Delta Regional College Students Cross-cultural Competence Competition and National Invitational Competition (Jiangsu Province) has been successfully held for three times, covering more than 100 colleges and universities in the province and covering thousands of participating students. The competition has been recognized by Jiangsu Higher Education Association as a provincial discipline competition for undergraduate students in colleges and universities in 2021.

Through this competition platform, the higher education reform of the Ministry of Education is implemented, and the national standards and basic requirements for the quality of talent training in colleges and universities are focused on improving the core quality of students. Promote teaching and learning through competition, create a good atmosphere for cross-cultural teaching and learning, improve the effectiveness of college English teaching and learning, enhance students' cross-cultural sensitivity, train students' ability to analyze and solve problems from the perspective of cultural differences, constantly improve and perfect themselves, and finally meet the country and society's demand for foreign language talents with international vision and cross-cultural ability. At the same time, we also look for the differences and differences in the excellent works of the first prize. In addition to the need to further improve the language level, there is a big gap between the shooting hardware equipment and post-editing and production funds and other aspects of the brother colleges, so we need to further strengthen in the future. We hope to have better results next year to win honors for the school.
